Dr Hamna Sahi is a dual Respiratory and Sleep Medicine specialist. She completed Advanced Specialist Training at Eastern and Monash Health in Melbourne. She currently holds public Respiratory and Sleep appointment at both Maroondah and Box Hill hospitals (Eastern Health) and consults privately at Monash Hospital and Northern suburbs.
Skilled in conversing in four major languages, Urdu, Hindi, Punjabi and partially fluent in Arabic, Dr Sahi is an active member of The Royal Australasian College of Physicians in Respiratory and Sleep Medicine and Thoracic Society of Australia and New Zealand.
Her special interests lie in the broader scope of Respiratory and Sleep Medicine, in the diagnostic evaluation of pulmonary nodules, masses and infiltrates, management of chronic airway limitations (including asthma and COPD), and suppurative lung diseases (such as bronchiectasis), as well as diagnostic and therapeutic bronchoscopies; in Obstructive Sleep Apnoea (OSA), Snoring, excessive daytime tiredness, Narcolepsy, Restless Legs Syndrome.
She can arrange on-site walk-in Lung Function testing and home sleep studies in Craigeiburn. Inlaboratory testing can be arranged through affiliations with both public and private hospitals in the northern and eastern suburbs.
In research she received College accreditation on exploring the nexus between pulmonary emphysema in cystic fibrosis detected by lung densitometry on low dose computed tomography (CT) of chest at Monash Health 2014. She also contributed to research projects focusing on quality of life of patients on home based ventilatory support at Austin Health 2013.
Dr Hamna Sahi, provides comprehensive Respiratory and Sleep care to patients with a range general and advanced respiratory and Sleep disorders. A comprehensive consultation with her is a first step towards an individualised care plan.

During the consultation, Dr Hamna Sahi will conduct a thorough assessment by asking questions about your health history, family history and your lifestyle. She will then perform a clinical exanimation and may refer you for a Respiratory Function test, sleep study or other tests/treatments and procedures deemed necessary for your care.
If indicated, Dr Hamna Sahi can arrange the study in In- lab sleep set up through her affiliation with the public and private set up.

During the consultation, the sleep and respiratory physician will conduct a thorough assessment by asking questions about your health history, family history and your lifestyle. He may refer you for a Respiratory Function test, sleep study or other tests/treatments and procedures deemed necessary for your care.
If you have tests done prior to the consultation. The results will be discussed at your initial consultation. The sleep and respiratory physician will advise you if more tests or treatments is required and may recommend CPAP therapy. He will discuss the options with you.
After the consultation, our sleep and respiratory physician will provide a letter to your referring doctor. It mainly includes a summary of test results and findings, along with any treatment recommendations and a follow-up plan.
